Yes. I see clients via Zoom or telephone. I have found offering therapy this way to be really effective and have formed excellent relationships with my clients even though we are not meeting in person. Online therapy offers clients who live in any location the chance to access couple and psychosexual therapy.
Per 50 minute session to be paid by BACS transfer before each session.
Each session lasts fifty minutes, but your initial assessment session will last one hour.
If you can’t meet at the same time and day each week I will try to offer you appointments on an ad hoc basis if possible.
Therapy sessions are usually weekly, but can be fortnightly for Psychosexual Therapy to give you time to carry out the exercises I give you.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. Some difficulties may not need as much time to resolve. You may want to have a series of six sessions, and then a review. Other reasons for coming to therapy, such as an affair, may be more complex, and require more sessions together.
I work with your needs and expectations, and always review the process as we go along. Generally speaking, therapy does require time and commitment. Issues that bring you to therapy are often complex and long-standing, and need time to think about and work through.
I adhere to the new data protection regulations that came into force in May 2018. I have a privacy notice on my website, and your details will be kept safe and secure.
Yes of course. It can be useful to have some couple therapy sessions alone. This gives you a chance to reflect on your relationship. Your partner may then want to join you.
I am within easy reach of the M25 and A21, and on a main road with a good bus service. You can park on my drive or just outside. Please visit my How To Find Me page for more information.
Please contact me for my availability. Due to Covid-19 I have started working with clients via Zoom or telephone. I am therefore able to be more flexible than usual. I also have a couple of Saturday morning appointments available.
As I don't have a waiting room, it is best if you arrive just on time. Also, I may be with a client and would be unable to let you in.
I will charge you for a missed session, if you either do not attend without letting me know, or cancel with less than 72 hours notice.
I do need this period of notice so that I can rearrange my diary or offer your slot to somebody else that week. Where we have contracted to meet fortnightly, as in Psychosexual Therapy, I will always charge for a missed session, as cancelling means the gaps between meetings are too long.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial appointment. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can call me on 077721 12039 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
I am flexible about appointment times, offering early morning appointments that you could fit around a busy commute, and evening and Saturday morning appointments if you work late, or need to arrange babysitting. Appointments can be held in person, or online via Zoom, Facetime or telephone.
